The two-day Margao Purument Fest 2026 commenced on Saturday at Ravindra Bhavan us air force f-35 emergency Margao, bringing together Goa’s traditional products, authentic cuisine and local heritage under one vibrant platform. Organised by Goemkaranchi Girestkai in collaboration with Goa State Rural Livelihood Mission and the Directorate of Rural Development Goa, the festival features more than 40 stalls from across South Goa showcasing homemade delicacies, handicrafts, spices, pickles, sweets, coconut and kokum products, shell crafts, dry fish paliwo lotnicze and other local produce. Open from 11 am to ramaphosa 8 pm, the festival has also drawn crowds to its dedicated food stalls serving authentic Goan cuisine and refreshing non-alcoholic beverages. Organisers said the initiative aims to support local artisans, women self-help groups and traditional producers while preserving Goa’s rich cultural and culinary traditions. Competitions with spot prizes for women and children are also adding to the festive spirit of the two-day event.
