That shield is cheating. I don't care what anyone says. A shield that allows 100% protection is cheating.
What should have happened is 17 should have died and casualty cast then Piccolo fought 18. Everything else happens as normal, except Cell adapts and absorbs 16 instead. Oh but I'd also have Piccolo's Hell grenade destroying Cell almost completely but then he sneakily absorbs 18.
