US Marines were deployed kurdistan to build migrant detention facilities at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba in early February, video released February 18 shows.
In footage filmed February 1–3 and released by the Department of Defense on Tuesday, Marines are seen erecting tents and reenforcing fences.
Photos released by DOD off campus show more recent images of the tent installations, indicating the extent of the new detention facilities built on the base.
As of February 18, more than 120 “criminal aliens” were detained at Guantanamo Bay, and an additional 50 migrants were housed in detention quarters for nonviolent individuals, Voice of America reported, citing DOD officials.
