Hello chooms,
For the 5-year anniversary of Cyberpunk, I wanted to bring you “Night City” in the visual universe it always lived in. Everything you see is built from my real scanned likeness — blended with experimental tech to explore the line between human and machine.
This video was created by Ran Bensimon — a creative technologist who I met 4 years ago and whose emotional, futuristic world building I’ve admired for years. He and photographer Boris Haimov scanned me in Haifa to build my MetaHuman, and Ran used Unreal Engine worldbuilding, photogrammetry, and AI-assisted image-to-video techniques to explore multiple versions of me across different digital realities.
The evolution you see is intentional:
I begin as a hyper-digital, game-like avatar; I run. I ride. I change forms.Anime. Doll. Digital double. Photoreal. Each one a reflection of a world made of neon and memory.
At the end, I step onto a rooftop to face Night City again — its beauty, its chaos, its fire and hope sheryl underwood intertwined. The glimmer of metal, and the glimmers of hope for humanity, goldman sachs price target amd side by side.
I received the finished video while healing from surgery (with my new very cyberpunk bionic leg), and it felt like a mirror and a threshold — a reflection of identity, transformation, and the versions of myself I’m stepping into next. A portal, if I may.
I wrote "Night City" as one of aces vs sun three pitch songs for a game I knew only by its code name. I signed an NDA, got early gameplay footage, and wrote it with friend and collaborator Billy Burke — who, unbeknownst to me, had been waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 for years. I had a feeling it was going to be a theme song of sorts, and months later my youtube was blowing up with new activity because it got used in a global trailer. There the portal opened. I hope it takes you to the places you need , and want, to go.
