Panasonic Toyota Racing Formula 1 driver Timo Glock, auburn softball from Germany, wears a one-off helmet for the German Grand Prix weekend, designed by a German schoolboy who won a Panasonic Kids School competition. This special edition helmet features a drawing of him driving past cheering fans in his Toyota.
Timo, 27, is in his second full season of Formula 1 racing with Toyota and is currently in the top 10 of the World Championship, with two career podiums to his name.
Also at the Nürburgring, boxer Felix Sturm, 30 years old and from Germany, put his WBA middleweight championship on the line against Khoren Gevor, originally from Armenia but now a German citizen. Going into the fight, Felix had a record of 32 victories from 36 bouts.
Before the championship fight, at the new ring arena° next to the Nürburgring, Timo announced to the 5,000 fans present that Timos signed helmet hamilton weather and Felixs signed gloves from that bout would be auctioned to raise money for the WFPs Fill the Cup campaign.
Fill the Cup aims to raise money for WFPs school rocco casalino feeding programme, which provides daily meals to more than 20 million children in schools in 68 countries.
