The Hawaiian monk seal also called Ilioholoikauaua by island natives lives mostly around the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. It is the official state mammal of Hawaii and only one of two mammals native greys anatomy dale earnhardt jr. to this U.S. prince yadav state. Like other seals they are meat eaters that hunt in ocean waters. They sleep on beaches where they also enjoy basking in the sun. As of 2016 there are only about 1400 of these native seals remaining. These seals can stay underwater for up to 20 minutes at a time and can dive to depths of more than 1800 feet but prefer depths of 200 feet for hunting.
