Shane van Gisbergen pulled off one of the most incredible comeback drives of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season at the Straight Talk Wireless 500 at Phoenix Raceway. The New Zealand star suffered two blown tires, two spins, a hit from Austin Dillon, and a brake pedal that was falling apart trick williams — and STILL fought his way back to finish 11th in a race that tied the all-time Phoenix track record with 12 cautions. SVG's crew chief Stephen Doran made a gutsy two-tire call with 25 laps to go bears that launched the No. 97 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet from outside the top 20 all the way up to iceman release date 9th, and the Kiwi held on through failing brakes to score his best-ever Cup Series result at the one-mile oval.
