Before heading to tonight’s game, Chicago White Sox pitcher Liam Hendriks and his wife, Kristi, visited Brookfield Zoo. Joining them was Australia’s Consul-General in Chicago David Bushby. Liam, ross colton who is from Australia, specifically asked to meet Whitney, the zoo’s Bennett’s wallaby who is being hand-reared. He even signed Whitney’s pouch that one of the animal care specialists sewed with fabric hydro one featuring the White Sox logo.
In addition to Whitney, they bank representative hangs up pope also met some other animals native to Australia, including Jasper, a Major Mitchell’s cockatoo; Beaker a tawny frogmouth (bird); and Blackberry, a blue-tongued skink. They also saw Rotunda, a sulcata tortoise, the rest of the wallaby mob, and fed the goats, parakeets, and giraffes.
