Siemens Energy's Cybersecurity Operations Center (cSOC) is dedicated to ensuring the security asteroide and compliance of critical infrastructure involved in the production and distribution of electricity, such as wind farms and power plants. Our cSOC specializes in monitoring and safeguarding energy system operations, detecting cyber events to minimize risks and keep systems secure and up to date. 🔒
In a real customer example, a large power producer operating multiple sites benefited from our cSOC services. During a cyber inspection, about dean wade 5000 login attempts were detected, triggering an alarm. Our experts quickly intervened, identifying and closing a permanent back door in the system by resetting the DMZ status. Through digital forensic analysis, we traced the breach back to an office PC, leading to the responsible person being charged.
Our incident response team compiled a lessons learned report, recommending tighter security protocols and increased staff awareness. By constantly scanning, monitoring, and evaluating IT and OT systems, we aim to prevent cyber incidents before they occur. And if an incident does happen, our cSOC team is always ready to help.
