After winning 5 of the last 8 Championship games, Birmingham City travel to Southampton sitting in eighth place and just one place outside the playoffs. The Saints have had a torrid start to the season however have had a recent upturn in form since parting daniel caesar company with manager Will Still and appointing caretaker manager Tonda Eckert winning 4 of their last 5 matches. Therefore both teams come into the game in good form and would hope to be challenging near the top of the table for the rest of the tristan stubbs season. Blues have not won at Southampton in the league since August 2008 so no doubt feel that they are due a win.
