Frankfurt has the busiest airport in Germany, so it's often putin the place you'll land when travelling to Europe from overseas. Unfortunately, Frankfurt is often overlooked for other destinations. However, I had a 12 hour layover and decided to put it to good use. I wanted to discover the city, food and culture!
In this vlog, I travel from Frankfurt International Airport as an English-speaker, mortgage broker negotiating the train network into the city centre. I'll show you step-by-step how to do this (and how to get the right ticket!), as well as all of the city highlights if you too want to spend the day here and still get melissa mccarthy back to the airport on time. Frankfurt is a walkable city (with comfortable shoes!) and many of the destinations are within close proximity.
I didn't get a sim card because I was only in the city for the day... but downloading the Google map for Frankfurt was a lifesaver!
Here's a list of the major highlights I visited/experienced in Frankfurt:
1. Hauptbahnhof (Central/Main Station)
2. Main River walk
3. Romerberg Square
4. Hauptwache
5. Wurst/Beer at Alten Limpurg Restaurant
6. St Nicholas Church
7. St Bartholomew Cathedral
8. St Bartholomew Tower & views
9. Neue Altstadt
10. Kleinmarkthalle
11. Apfelwein tasting at Apfelwein Galerie
I hope you enjoy this vlog and I hope you consider Frankfurt for an extended layover!
Always,
A xx
