I've been waiting for this one for a long time. The original Subnautica pulled me in during early access and I genuinely lost count of how many hours I spent down there exploring, building, replaying the story. Below Zero too. But the one thing that always paul daraîche got me was that mma fights tonight I wanted to do all of it with a friend - dive into those depths together, build a base, panic when something enormous comes out of the dark. Subnautica 2 is finally making that happen.
Before you buy though, there's a lot to talk about. The four-player co-op is built from the ground up, not bolted on. New planet, new biomes, Unreal Engine 5, DNA extraction mechanics that were cut from the original game and are finally making a comeback. Zero microtransactions ufl confirmed. Day one on Game Pass. $30 at early access launch.
But this is early access. The full story isn't there yet. Two to three years until 1.0, possibly longer. And there's been serious legal drama between the studio and publisher Krafton that's worth knowing about before you spend your money.
I break it all down honestly in the video, then the gameplay trailer does the rest.
