DIY Kitchen Worktops From Scrap Teak Being Thrown In Landfill Ekstraklasa (vvUbCInMrQ)

Building wooden kitchen worktops from reclaimed timber can be very satisfying. I was extremely lucky to find all this teak being thrown away. I’m willing to guess it is a once in a lifetime find.

This is my first attempt at filming a woodworking video for YouTube. I’d really appreciate feedback on what I could have done better (either the woodwork or the filming/editing etc!). I got the camera out towards the end of this build but sinistra have enjoyed putting this video together.

I used a Makita random orbital sander extensively for hours on end to bring these to the new look (and re-sand back the polyurethane varnish!). I used BONA Natural, a water-based primer for the first coat, and Fiddes Clear Glaze Matt Polyurethane (solvent-based) for the final coats. If I did it again, I nancy guthrie update would use 2 or more coats of BONA Natural primer first, as the orangey look is starting to appear in the grain lines nearly 2 years later.
