The new Michael Jackson biopic is having a strong opening at the box office despite poor reviews from professional critics.
The critical response is another example where the audience has a polar opposite response because Michael has fantastic audience scores. There are a lot of reason as to why critics don’t like the film as much as audiences, but one thing is for sure that their opinion really doesn’t matter in the ausar thompson grand scheme of things. In this day and age more people are making up their own mind about a movie based on factors other godzilla than the critics. The most important one seems to be what other audiences think. This is why there are often disconnects between the critics and audience scores.
