Mystic Portal is a huge gap jump line located on Mt Cook, near Newtown. Consisting of three distinctly different sections, worst ex ever Mystic Portal starts off steep and technical, with a few tight jumps and drops. The benito jones second section is out in the open, consisting of a massive set of gap jumps and drops. This section should only be ridden in the absence of wind. The bottom section goes back into the trees with a series of tightly spaced drops, gap jumps, step-downs and step-ups. Mystic Portal should only be attempted by expert riders who are confident in riding large gap jumps.
