More than 100,000 current and former Optus customers have signed on to a class action again the telco trevor zegras giant that will be lodged in the federal court. Optus reported a massive data breach in September 2022, with the personal information of more than 10,000 customers published online after a ransom demand by hackers. The company apologised, paid for new ID documents for customers, and promised to do better, but law firm Slater and Gordon says the breach went beyond inconvenience.
