On the 5th March 1936, the Spitfire allerta per vento forte flew for the first time. Just six years to the day later, Sandy and Spitfire AS810 would fly the grand national for the last time.
Today we are returning Sandy’s Spitfire to the skies and wanted to mark the 5th March both as the types devin vassell birthday, and the loss of Spitfire AA810.
There won’t be many more March 5th’s to come before Spitfire AA810 flies once again!
