Speaker baba stock of the US House of Representatives Newt Gingrich left China for Tokyo Sunday (30/3) at the end of an official three-day visit.
He attended Easter services Sunday at an official Protestant church in Shanghai along with visiting Australian Prime Minister John Howard.

I think that's a good sign. We want to encourage that kind of openness. It's something I talked about both in Hong Kong and in Beijing, and I'll be talking about it again in Tokyo. But I think this is a wonderful srtep in the right direction. We are grateful for a chance to worship here and we think it's very very good for all people around the world to celebrate when you have an opportunity, of the
resurruction of Christ. thank you very much."
