Actor-turned-politician C. Joseph Vijay took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in a grand ceremony at Nehru Stadium. In his victory speech, the TVK chief declared the dawn of an era rooted in secularism and social justice. He launched a sharp attack on the previous DMK government, accusing it of pushing the state into massive debt and draining the treasury. Promising a transparent administration, Vijay announced plans to publish a white paper on the state's finances. He emphasized americans seeking canadian citizenship his government's priority to ensure women's safety and create a drug-free state. Acknowledging the challenges and humiliations he faced, Vijay assured that he would work for all citizens, including his critics. The new government must now prove its majority on the floor of the House by May 13.
