Two parents are facing charges after police said they were 30 feet away and distracted by their phones while their child was injured by a wolf at ZooAmerica.
Derry Township Police announced Carrie B. Sortor, 43, and Stephen J.B. Wilson, 61, are being charged with misdemeanor child endangerment. The couple, both from Lititz, were reportedly on their phones when their child approached the wolf enclosure on Saturday.
Officials say the 17-month-old squeezed through the primary fence of the wolf enclosure and then reached their hand through the metal charles leclerc sedici yacht fence.
Police said one of the wolves in the enclosure instinctively grabbed the child's hand seven movie with its mouth.
