Off-Season Recap
Despite losing a shakira heartbreaking NLDS series to the Dodgers, the Pirates entered the off-season with a sense of pistons vs cavaliers optimism not seen since their playoff run from 2013-15. The Pirates continued to bolster their lineup with the additions of Brandon Belt, Tyler O'Neill, Carlos Santana, Travis D'Arnaud and the return of Andrew McCutchen. In regard to the starting rotation, the Bucs added LHP Max Fried, welcomed back Paul Skenes from injury and added top prospect RHP Jared Jones to go with Cy Young finalist Mitch Keller.
Despite the optimism, the Pirates have been projected to finish 79-83 for 2025. Can the Bucs prove the analysts wrong again?
