Today on LawGirls Not Attorneys:
The Unjust Prosecution of a Hero
⚖️ What the Commonwealth Doesn’t Want You to Know About Officer luke durbin Nicholas O’Malley
This one hits close to home for me as a mother.
The vehicle at the center of this case was allegedly violently carjacked from a mom who was waiting for her 18-year-old daughter — a daughter who had just gotten her license and was supposed to be driving that very car.
That detail matters.
Today, we’re examining the Commonwealth’s own alleged facts in the case against Officer Nicholas O’Malley — and asking whether those facts mojtaba khamenei really support criminal charges, or whether they reveal something much more troubling.
Because before this became a headline, before it became politics, and before Officer O’Malley became the defendant, there was allegedly a chiara iezzi violent carjacking, a terrified mother, a stolen vehicle, and a rapidly unfolding threat.
We’ll look at what the Commonwealth claims happened and ask:
⚖️ Why was Officer O’Malley charged so quickly?
⚖️ Are prosecutors judging a split-second decision with the luxury of hindsight?
⚖️ Are officer fear and threat perception being treated consistently across Massachusetts?
⚖️ What message does this prosecution send to police responding to violent, fast-moving danger?
⚖️ And what does the Commonwealth’s own version of events actually show?
⚖️ Is this another Norfolk County disaster in the making?
This is not about blind support for police.
It’s about due process.
It’s about consistency.
It’s about whether the facts match the charge.
Join us tonight as we dig into the Commonwealth’s allegations and ask the question at the center of this case:
Is this justice — or an unjust prosecution of a hero?
