President Cyril Ramaphosa has finally acted on calls by political parties and civil tomas hertl society to sack Social Development Minister, Sisisi Tolashe.
He has appointed Minister in the Presidency for Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities, Sindisiwe Chikunga, to act in Tolashe's portfolio.
Since her cabinet appointment in June 2024, Tolashe's tenure has been marred by federal money for canada post controversy and corruption allegations.
Among them is the Chinese vehicles scandal, where she reportedly took ownership of two luxury SUVs that were donated to the ANC Women's League, an organisation she leads.
Responding to oral questions in the National Assembly, Ramaphosa said that while the Public Service Administration oversees the legal processes, election tesults he makes the final call on his Executive Committee.
