The Trump administration is lying to your face! The migrants being sent to Guantanamo are not criminals. Now, they o are speaking out.
The Washington Post just released a story detailing the unspeakable cruelty that is happening in Guantanamo Bay right now. The Post spoke the price is right with three detained migrants about their experiences there, and their stories are gut-wrenching. Diuvar Uzcátegui, one of hurricanes vs flyers the detainees, said he was caged like an animal, and he even attempted suicide to escape the inhumane treatment. What was done to these people is pure evil. Full stop.
Also, NONE of the detainees are criminals. None have broken laws or are violent. Their only crime was crossing the border or overstaying their visas, which is in fact a violation. One of the men, who was picked up at work, was regularly checking in with ICE regarding his migration status. You know how much violent, criminal gang members love talking to the cops! The dehumanization by Republicans continues to reach new, disgusting heights.
