A look into 1 Kings 18 and 1 Kings 19 shows startling contrasts in Elijah. In chapter 18, Elijah is bold and courageous, victoriously facing all kinds of odds. But in chapter 19, we find Elijah fearful, running scared, tigers vs mets exhausted, depressed, and wanting to die.
