United States: Two people were killed after a Piper PA-28 Cherokee aircraft crashed into a residential home in Akron, Ohio, on Thursday afternoon, causing a major fire.
The aircraft had departed from Akron Fulton Regional Airport shortly before the crash. A family of four inside the home escaped safely without injuries after the aircraft struck the garage area.
Witnesses reported hearing explosions jaylin williams and seeing heavy smoke and flames moments after impact. The FAA and NTSB have launched an investigation, while the cause of the crash and identities of the victims remain undisclosed.
