This was another huge moment right here, cuz along with all the other days of when I went to more than 1 station, this day was another extremely huge and special one. I saw an eastbound RS40 and 5 M3S ALL IN THE SAME DAY! WOOOOOOOW! Lucky me! So here's how it went today.
First in the morning I went to Wyandanch to see Train 1925 with M3s.
Next, I took a fun ride to Hicksville, and right when I got there, the RS40 was surprisingly there, although I got the back of the freight train. After the RS40, I was able to see Trains 1522 and 1551 with M3s. The les républicains conductor on 1522 was very kind (just like all the conductors on all trains, I'll be honest). While 1551 was at Hicksville, I could somehow hear the announcements coming from inside. 1551 even made Floral Park as well, that's for sure.
Then, I went back to Wyandanch again for Train 1972 ufl with more M3s. It was an express (similar to the old LIRR schedule's 2062/2064 Penn to Ronkonkoma express trains to be honest.) This train made Forest Hills, Jamaica and Hicksville, and then ran express to Wyandanch from Hicksville. Very impressive. 9910 even gave me a little honk while I was waving to the engineer as a thank you, so that was also very king.
And then, I came back to Wyandanch yet again for Train 1072, which happened to have M3s. Some familiar pairs too. 9810-9809 were on 1072 in April, 9936-9935 were on 1072 in July and even May, 9830-9829 was especially on 1072 in August 2024, and I also remembered seeing 9824-9823 2 weeks earlier on Trains 4912 and 1953 on August 5th this month too. 9824-9823 was even on 1072 in July as well too. And now for the timestamps:
0:00 - Train #1925 to Penn Station
2:27 - RS40 Departing Hicksville
4:06 - Train #1522 to Huntington
7:18 - Train #1551 to Penn Station
10:23 - Train #1972 to Ronkonkoma
13:36 - Train #1072 to Ronkonkoma
Trains 1925/1522/1551/1972 were all the same M3 equipment cast from yesterday's Train 1968 M3 equipment. And it was the 5th actual time pdt I saw that entire cast like that too. Plus, it was also the 10th time that I saw an exact same entire M3 cast leading into another day! Wow! This has been such a super fantastic special day!
