WINTERIZING dahlias is hard work all the way around! We pulled about 10% up while keeping 90% in the ground. Oh no! What do you do?? I say go with you gut instinct. Last year we overwintered them keeping about 80% rate keeping them alive with good drainage and covering. It is completely possible to keep them in the ground as well as store them in bags or boxes under a house, basement, or even or garage. neymar We fourth wing just want to be careful they don't dry out, get eaten, or FREEZE!
