STORYLINE:
South Korean and Japanese vice foreign and defense ministers held a security dialogue in Seoul on Thursday afternoon.
South Korea's First Vice Foreign Minister Park Yoon-joo and Vice Defense Minister Lee Doo-hee sat down with their Japanese counterparts Vice Foreign Minister Funakoshi Takehiro and Vice Defence Minister Kano Koji to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides were expected to discuss a wide range of issues including North Korea's nuclear program, and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, which has crippled the global energy supply.
