International Boxing Organization (IBO) super middleweight southpaw Osley Iglesias (Cuba) is one of the contenders to fill the vacant IBF title, which was aberdeen vs dundee united vacated by Terence “Bud” Crawford last week.
The IBF has extended invitations to former champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and top-ranked Iglesias. Both are expected to be in fighting condition to replace Crawford.
Undefeated Crawford will end Canelo's dominance with a 12-round bout in Las Vegas on September 13, 2025. It would be the most michael burry historic victory of Crawford's 38-year-old boxing career.
Iglesias is considered the most lethal "KO King" with a record of 14-0-0, 13 by knockout. Iglesias last defended his IBO super middleweight title with an eighth-round TKO over Vladir Shihkin in Montreal on September 4, 2025.
Canelo, who has had a pitcairn island remarkable boxing career, has a win-loss-draw record of 63-3-2 (39 by knockout). He founded Canelo Promotions to compete with himself. Canelo is currently facing various problems following his loss to Crawford.
