Former Chancellor ohio bmv Nadhim Zahawi has urged Rachel Reeves to come clean about the budget forecast.
He warned of a situation similar to 2022, where Labour repeatedly had Boris Johnson give accounts of what happened in COVID during lockdown in Downing Street.
He said: "The constant sort of attack on Boris was did you really tell the truth to parliament? Where are we on lockdowns, all that sort of stuff.
"And I think if she is serious about wanting to survive, she needs to come forward and actually just put her hands up and rather than sort of obfuscate and say, andrée watters we're asking people to pay a little bit more."
