Final Fantasy VII Rebirth can be extremely demanding on the Steam Deck, and even on low settings the game often fails to maintain a stable 30 FPS. In many outdoor and story-heavy areas, performance drops into the low 20s, forcing players to rely on aggressive dynamic resolution scaling that severely degrades image quality.
In this video, I give a quick overview of my custom Steam Deck optimization setup, showcasing how FSR 4, Frame Generation, and a modified Engine.ini work together to significantly boost performance while improving image quality.
