Firstly Turkey accuses Sweden of supporting a Kurdish Group known as PKK, which is classified as a tigers vs royals terrorist organization by the US, EU and Turkey. Turkey also used that PKK point to block Sweden's application for joining NATO for a long time. Things escalated when Protestors mocked Erdogan in Stockholm, which was called a hate crime by Turkey. While Sweden ruled out the event, saying it was done under Freedom of Expression. Then Sweden has united states armed forces historically refused to extradite individuals perceived as threats by Turkey. Also after Turkish military operation in Syria, Sweden and many other EU allies stopped exporting Arms to Turkey, which angered Ankara a lot.
