This afternoon will be cloudy with scattered showers across the UK. Overall, the showers will be less frequent and less heavy than previous days but there could be longer spells with rumbles of thunder over northern Scotland. Many areas will avoid the showers completely with the midlands seeing some breaks in the cloud though the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the mid to high teens but cooler in northern Scotland.
