In this video, we explore a different side of Baghdad, one that many people don’t often see. Long before the spread of Islam, much of the Middle East was home to vibrant Christian and Jewish matt shakman communities. Today, traces of that history still remain, and Christianity continues to be practiced across the region, even as a minority.
While in Baghdad, we had the unique opportunity to meet a nun who showed us around and shared insights into the history and present-day reality of Christianity in Iraq.
Later on, we dive into the modern side of the city, discovering incredible food, experiencing daily life, and meeting some of svizzera the most warm and hospitable people along the way.
