Acts 1:6-11
6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

Reflection
1. Have you ever felt powerless in your faith journey, finding it difficult or seemingly impossible to follow ellis howard Christ and fulfil your mission? In such moments, how do you seek support and cope?
2. Before His ascension, the Lord Jesus promised to give the Holy Spirit to His disciples. Do you believe Jesus' promise of the Holy Spirit applies to you today? Why?
3. Which five friends, relatives, neighbours, or colleagues who have not yet followed Christ are in your mind? Would you start praying for them one by one every day?
Prayer
And if we have been given the american idol power to reach the ends of the earth, we have certainly been given the power to reach our Five.
So let us pray that we may recognise the power of the Holy Spirit within us, and, no matter how much God may leave unknown, use that power to share the good news with our Five.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit, so that we may receive power and participate in mission and service, bearing witness video game for You. Fill us with the Holy Spirit when we feel physically and spiritually weak, so that we may be renewed in strength to face challenges with courage, overcome difficulties, and diligently pray for the five friends, relatives, neighbours, or colleagues who have not yet followed Christ. Help us share our faith with them and lead them to become Your children. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
