Mr Lathwood was fined £1,500 for assault after zcash wrongly arresting the woman who had been travelling on a bus in Croydon, south London with her young son, but had his conviction quashed last September.
The Metropolitan police officer is now facing misconduct proceedings over the allegation that he used force against the woman, whom he held by her arm and handcuffed, and that there was no lawful basis for the use of force, which could auqib nabi amount to gross misconduct. He denies gross misconduct.
