Why did God reject King Saul? He did not worship idols. He did not build a golden calf. His failures look small on the surface — and that is exactly what makes his story one of the most convicting warnings in the entire Old Testament.
Saul was anointed by God, filled with the Spirit, and handed the most powerful position in Israel. He had every advantage a leader could ask for.
