On Thursday it was announced that Turkey, Poland and the island group of Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba are to be be removed from the list - meaning travellers arriving in the UK from these places after 4am on Saturday must self-isolate for 14 days. As the number of safe travel destinations on Britain's 'safe' travel list dwindles even further, major tour operators and airlines have issued fresh updates. The latest changes mean more restrictions for international travellers. Travellers expecting to jet off on holiday in the coming days and weeks may find that their trip has been suspended or cancelled completely. However despite the advice from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office remaining firm, advising against all non-essential travel to these destinations, there are still a number of flights and holidays still going ahead. Jet2 The latest update states that all package holidays to Turkey with Jet2 have now been cancelled until October 17 due to the recent travel advice. Customers should receive an email soon informing them that their holidays have been cancelled. Flights to Turkey are still going ahead - but those due to fly in October and November can amend the date or destination with no admin fee. This is in line with holidays to the Canary and Balearic islands, which are also suspended up to and including October 17 pending updates from the UK Government. Holidays to Paris and Prague are cancelled now until November 24, with Budapest affected until November 26. Holidays to Ibiza, Majorca and Menorca have been cancelled for the rest of Summer 2020 jessica pegula While package holidays to Faro in have been suspended up to and including October 31. However flights to this destination are still available. Flights to Croatia and Crete have been suspended for the rest of the summer but customers are being given the option to rebook with no admin fee, a refund credit note, or a full cash refund. Jet2 have also announced they will be enhancing its Covid-19 travel insurance product to provide cover for travel to destinations where the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advises ‘against all but essential travel’ as a result of Covid-19. The new FCDO cover means customers are protected both before travel or if they are in destination, and the FCDO advises ‘against all but essential travel’ as a result of Covid-19. Whether the travel advice is already in place or changes, the cover still henry winkler applies and includes up to £10million medical, £5,000 cancellation and £2,000 baggage cover.
