On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, grand rituals marking the birth of Lord Ram are being observed at the sacred Jagannath Temple in Puri, drawing large numbers of devotees.
Temple authorities announced that the Ram Janma ritual will be conducted after the second Bhog Mandap offering. To ensure smooth proceedings, general darshan has been restricted between 5 PM and 10 PM during the key ceremonies.
As part of the celebrations, various episodes of Ram Leela including Ram Janma, Yajna Raksha, Sita Vivah, and Ravana Vadha are being performed daily, creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere. The traditional Sahi Yatra festivities have also commenced across different localities.
Meanwhile, devotees thronged the Shri Ram Temple from early morning for darshan, with special arrangements made for crowd management.
In a related ritual, temple officials have transported sacred materials to Cuttack to formally begin wood cutting for the annual Rath Yatra, marking another important religious preparation.
