In a devastating tragedy, Hong Kong is reeling from its deadliest fire in nearly three decades. The massive blaze engulfed seven high-rise buildings at the Wang Po Court residential complex in Tai Po district, claiming at least 75 lives. Authorities report that over 250 people remain missing, with rescue operations hindered by high temperatures and collapsed bamboo scaffolding. A senior fire official stated, 'It is very difficult for us. The area of the fire ground or the domestic unit is not big. So we need to deploy a limited or optimize our manpower.' The government has ordered inspections of all residential clusters undergoing repairs.
