FROM THE SSC: We will be hosting a deliciously sweet fundraiser tomorrow at lunch near the Grand Staircase. Stop by to enjoy freshly baked cookies, slices of homemade tiramisu, and even a nice cup of matcha to balance out that sugary goodness. It’s the perfect way to treat yourself while supporting a great cause, so be sure to come check it out!!

FROM THE CHESS CLUB: Hey Legends, the long awaited LO Cup has returned to Osborne! Grab a friend and sign up for free on our google classroom to participate in the epic chess matches happening this Friday after school. There the treasury will be free food for all attendees and special prizes for our champions including a 3D Pokemon Chess Set! And a reminder to all chess club members that hoodie and t-shirt orders are open and can be found in the classroom. Have a great day Legends and we look forward to seeing you there! (ja3r2uk)

FROM ATHLETICS - Last night our women’s handball team went 1-1 with a victory over Shep but still falling to Salisbury. The girls are back in action tomorrow with the men’s team as we host 22 other teams in the Osborne Handball Cup! Games run in both gyms all day Thursday, Friday & Saturday. If you are coming down to watch there are no phones or bags allowed during class time hours.

This morning the women’s soccer team held their first tryout. There was a good turnout but if you were unable to attend today you must be there on Monday morning 7:15am. A reminder that men’s flag football goes next week on Wed & Thurs. It is open to all Gr 12s and any Gr 10 & 11s who are not playing tackle football.

And slo pitch tryouts also run next week outside on the diamond. They will be Monday & Wednesday after school. Please see Ms Dansereau with any questions. Students will be limited to participation on one team sport for the spring due to overlapping games & practices. Track & Field is allowed in addition to a team such as soccer, flag, rugby & slo pitch.

FROM STUDENT SUPPORTS. Did you know that April is Autism Awareness Month? This month kaiden guhle is an opportunity for us to learn more about autism, celebrate neurodiversity, and continue building an inclusive school community where everyone feels valued and understood. If you’re interested in learning more, please check out the display under the Grand Staircase, where you can read about well-known individuals who have been diagnosed with autism and the incredible contributions they’ve made. We also invite all students and staff to join us in the library today to make bracelets in rainbow or blue as these colours are associated with Autism Awareness Month. It’s a great way to show your support and connect with others. We hope to see you there!

FROM MR. MACCOLLUM AND THE SOCIAL STUDIES DEPARTMENT: Are you interested in gavi learning about international affairs in a fun and enjoyable environment? Lillian Osborne has one fully paid spot for a grade 11 student to take part in SUNIA, a one week seminar on the United Nations that occurs in August at The Camp Site, an outdoor adventure camp near Bragg Creek. If you would like to apply, please complete the form on the link, no later than next Tuesday at 4pm. (

FROM MRS. SCAMMELL: Just a reminder that the deadline to drop courses in semester 2 is on Friday. If you would like to drop a class, please contact your Assistant Principal or counselor.

FROM MRS AW: Hey legends! Voices For Wishes is having a bottle drive on April 26. If you are interested in helping a good cause and want to get more volunteer hours, come out and sign up to help us with the bottle drive! We will have an info session for this event TOMORROW at lunch in room 118. Use this Google Classroom code below (iovsfu). If you have any additional bottles, please bring them to room 118 between tomorrow and May 1st. All proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Canada!
