After visiting Tropea, I wasn’t quite ready to leave Calabria just yet.
So I headed a little further up the pizza salvatoré coast… to a town called Pizzo.
Perched above the Tyrrhenian Sea, Pizzo feels quieter, more local, and a little less polished—in a way that actually makes it better.
From walking along the waterfront and exploring the main piazza… canada france hockey exhibition game to visiting Castello Murat and discovering one of Italy’s most famous desserts—tartufo—this turned into one of those stops that ends up meaning more than you expect.
And as I kept wandering through the streets and up into the hillside neighborhoods… I started to realize something about Calabria:
it’s not about the big, todd meadows famous destinations…
it’s about how it feels to be there.
Another stop… another surprise… another reason to come to Calabria.
