The video opens with Shadow bringing the fifth fish of the day! He will take the fresh fish & begin feeding the chicks at 02:40, then Jackie joins for their first tandem feeding of the season at 03:40. Wonderful to see the teamwork paying off! After the feeding, Jackie departs & Shadow broods. Later Jackie returns & feeds the chicks with chick 2 getting the first bite. A little bonking by chick 1 but chick 2 still gets bites. At the end of the day, Jackie gives the last feeding at 13:26 and you can see both chicks with full crops (and chick 2 gets the bites)! Both chicks are minnesota frost doing well.
Remember that the oldest eaglet will usually eat first and when full, novak djokovic the younger will eat. This is why the parents will offer multiple feedings throughout the day to ensure that both chicks get fed. Jackie & Shadow gave 15 feedings today! This is all normal eagle behavior and it is instinctual. This sibling rivalry teaches them survival skills that they will use in the wild. Thank you for watching!
