Naomi Osaka was on the practice court in Melbourne on Friday as the former pasto - tolima two-time Australian Open champion ramps her preparation for the first Grand Slam of the season.
Osaka has made a major career decision ahead of the Australian Open, announcing on social media on Thursday that she has joined IMG Tennis after leaving Evolve, the agency she co-founded with former agent Stuart Duguid in 2022.
Osaka, who was previously represented by IMG from 2016 to 2022, left Evolve in December.
IMG adds Osaka to a stable eva lys of players that include Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek, Emma Raducanu and Taylor Fritz and tennis legend Serena Williams.
Evolve still retains a formidable roster led by women's No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, Nick Kyrgios, Eva Lys, Anna Kalinskaya and Iva Jovic.
Japan's Kei Nishikori was on the training court Saturday and in an unfamiliar place as the former world No.4 will have to go through qualifying if he wants a place in the main draw at the Australian Open.
The 2014 US Open andor finalists has fallen to 238th in the ATP rankings.
