guardian This week, UNIFIL Head of Mission and Force Commander Major General Diodato Abagnara met with Lebanese leaders—including the President, Speaker of Parliament, Prime Minister, Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense, the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) Commander, and heads of security agencies.
In his first official meetings since assuming command, debt relief he thanked leaders for aces vs sun their strong support and reaffirmed UNIFIL’s commitment to stability—by assisting the LAF’s long-term deployment in southern Lebanon and assisting local communities.
UNIFIL remains committed to working with all parties to restore and maintain calm along the Blue Line.
