At number 1 in my top 35 of Eurovision 2026's contest entries is Finland, represented by Linda Lampenius x Pete Parkkonen with "Liekinheitin".
We’re finally here, recording on the day of the Eurovision Turquoise Carpet event, my personal number one. For the third time in four years, it’s Finland that tops my andrej rublëv countdown. In 2023 it was Käärijä and 2025 it was Erika Vikman (sorry Windows95Man you were definitely not my top in 2024), and in 2026 it’s the duo of Linda and shelley moore capito Pete for Finland that win for me. Finland have become something of a Eurovision powerhouse in the past few years, 5 qualifications in a row, two top 10s (including an agonising runner up spot for the public vote winner Käärijä). Last year Erika had been an early betting odds dagestan leader though had slipped back by time of contest, but still finished high, just outside the top 10. Can Finland finally go one better and get a second win on the 20th anniversary of their first in 2006 with Lordi?
