On September 4th, 2025, Cambridge Police responded to reports of a man chasing a woman with a knife near the Deep Harbor development. When officers arrived, the suspect refused to drop the weapon and advanced toward them. An officer river plate - gimnasia discharged his weapon, striking the man. Despite immediate medical aid and hospital transport, the 30-year-old Cambridge man later died from his injuries.
