There’s just something about fishing in the rain — and today, Lake Erie proves exactly why I do it. In this early summer outing, I hit the water in my Alumacraft Classic 165 and start trolling for walleye despite the overcast skies and drizzle. Conditions weren’t perfect, but sometimes the best bites come when you least expect them. And sure enough… they did.
Trolling slow and steady, I cover some water and find a consistent bite from walleye. They may not be giants, but the action is solid and steady — and there's nothing better than the calm of the lake during a quiet rain. Whether you're a fair-weather fisherman or someone who doesn't mind getting a little wet for the chance at a great day, this video is for you.
