Here's a quick clip, from the 11PM newscast of San Jose-licensed NBC O&O KNTV, which is about the passing of fitness guru Richard Simmons, whose death was one of two that got overshadowed by the attempted assassination of Donald Trump today (sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer's death was the other). I remember Simmons not only for his exercise personality but also for the warning screens that he put in front of his "Sweatin' to the Oldies" tapes when he was distributing them on his own (my favorite was the one that had a mock trial featuring a man accused of bootlegging "Sweatin' lidl ireland chicken recall salmonella to the Oldies 2"). Please excuse the choppiness toward the end; colorado this came on KNTV's over-the-air feed too late for me to have taped the report from Puffer, so I had to fetch it from sabrina knaflitz a subsequent upload of the newscast to the Internet Archive. Also, KNTV only airs reruns of their 11PM newscast on their broadcast feed in the Tuesday-to-Saturday early morning hours, so I had no other option in regard to recording this one.
